History of Pie
This first pies where called "coffins" or "coffyns." This word actually means basket or box. The first pies where made with savory meat. It wasnt til the 1700's that pastry pies where served. Martha Washington (George Washington's wife) made him sweetbreads pie. This was George's favorite desert.
The first pies sound pretty goood I wonder what type of meat they put in it.
